OMG!!! Global Warming!!!

This message needs muzik!

OK, global warming...yeah, I know O.O like OMG!!! So anyway, I got this list thrown at me:

"10 Signs Climate Change Is Already Happening"

like, OMG!!! all over again.

Where was I, oh yeah, 10 signs (why does the apocalypse only get 7?...but I digress) I won't mention or address all 10 cause it gets kinda monotanous but I'll address a few (I'm bored tonight).

3. The Rate of Warming Is Unprecedented in at Least 11,000 Years

4. Arctic Sea Ice Is in a 'Death Spiral'

5. Greenland Is Losing Ice at an Accelerating Rate

6. Antarctic Peninsula Is Also Losing Ice at an Accelerating Rate

7. The Ocean Is Warming

8. Sea Level Is Rising

OK, more than a few, more like most of them, but hey, I told you I was bored. Where to begin, where to begin...oh yeah, #3 - The Rate of Warming Is Unprecedented in at Least 11,000 Years!!! Makes you wonder what was going on 11,000 years ago...hmm - wait a minute! Oh! Oh! Iknow! An Ice Age! I'll bet they weren't worried about global warming. Lucky devils.

I'm gonna skip around because its my post, I wanna and I can! :p

Lets pick #5. Greenland Is Losing Ice at an Accelerating Rate!!!

Lets see, I haven't typed OMG!!! in at least a couple paragraphs so, OMG!!! Ya know, this next thought doesn't have anything to do with anything but I wonder why they called it Greenland anyway? Well, according to the article: "Vikings grew barley in Greenland" it says:

"The Greenland climate was a bit warmer than it is today, and the southernmost tip of the great island was luscious and green and no doubt tempted Eric the Red and his followers. This encouraged them to cultivate some of the seed corn they brought with them from Iceland."

So why'd they leave if life was good? According to the article, "[The] Little Ice Age stopped corn cultivation." A little Ice Age...wouldn't that mean there's global cooling too? Sorry, I digress again (but sometimes a little digression is good for the soul).

[see: http://sciencenordic.com/vikings-grew-barley-greenland ]

So where are we now? Lets try -

4. Arctic Sea Ice Is in a 'Death Spiral'

6. Antarctic Peninsula Is Also Losing Ice at an Accelerating Rate

HUH? Death Spiral!!! This goes waaay beyond OMG!!! I think we're in WTH!!! Territory now! Can it be? Well, not exactly ~

The earth’s polar ice caps are no smaller today than they were 30 years ago, when satellites first began accurately measuring polar ice, NOAA satellite data report. The polar ice caps are currently somewhat larger than the 30-year average.

In the Northern Hemisphere, Arctic sea ice is currently 19 percent below the 30-year average. In the Southern Hemisphere, however, Antarctic sea ice has grown to a record extent, continuing a pattern of growth that has been ongoing since NASA launched the NOAA satellite instruments in 1979. The growth in Antarctic sea ice is so extensive that the poles as a whole have more total ice than the 30-year average.

I wonder why "Antarctic sea ice has grown to a record extent" never gets mentioned? [see: http://heartland.org/policy-documents/polar-ice-caps-larger-long-term-average-noaa-satellites-show ]

Moving right along...

7. The Ocean Is Warming

8. Sea Level Is Rising

Well, now we know why a life size replica of Noah's ark is being built in Kentucky (next to a redneck trailer park I assume)...

[see: http://www.tennessean.com/article/20121120/NEWS06/311200035/A-full-size-Noah-s-Ark-will-built-Kentucky-biblical-park?nclick_check=1 ]

But wait a minute! Remember our earlier discovery? You know, about an Ice Age happening 11,000 years ago? Well what happened since then? Remember those cavemen rubbing two sticks together in England creating fire and global warming? This was Britain/Doggerland then:

And Britain today:

Oh the humanity! How many people drowned in the sea level rise that created the modern United Kingdom? My guess is, less than die in their annual New Years drunk...but that's just my guess, 11,000 years is a long time.

So what about Sundaland?

Hmm, probably a lotta mass drownings there too. This is sad. Why can't we live in the good old days of the ice age (or at least the little ice age) before all of this global warming?

There'd be a whole lot less Canadians, Brits, Scandavians (and I like vikings...this is really sad) Northern Europeans, etc. But on the bright side, there was a whole lot more beach front property in Florida (no wonder its so expensive now)!

In closing I'd just like to say,

"Global Warming - OMG!!! We're all gonna DIE!!!"

I don’t know, put your swim suit on and go outside and catch a tan – be sure to use sun block though, you don’t wanna burn!
